We're usually quite confident that AZO's patrons will love the new season materials, especially when Jacques Barbey has created another of his brilliant photo-illustrations. But with the current economic climate, sometimes even the most compelling design can fall on deaf ears.
Well, not to worry! The 2011-12 Season Announcement has been made and people are listening! It's early, but so far, season subscriptions are up 30% over this time last year, and there has been a good number of people upgrading from mini subscriptions to full subscriptions.
None of this is by accident. Arizona Opera recognizes that it takes a combination of great marketing strategy by Laura Schairer of Audience Magnets, who knows the cultural arts market like no one else; superb copywriting by Jill Spear, magical images by Jacques Barbey; and a design team who can combine type with image in a way that entertains and entices (that's us).
